Experience
I am in love with words. There are few things that make me as happy as sharing that love of others. Whether you would like assistance in editing an essay, dissecting literary motifs, or grasping the rules of written English, I am more than eager to help. I worked for a year through AmeriCorps' Jumpstart program teaching basic literacy skills to low-income preschool children. I have also worked unofficially for about eight years as an editor/proofreader of peer essays, be they for college applications or school classes. I receive a lot of joy from helping others realize the full potential of their writing abilities. I also have experience in public speaking. I was a member of my high school's Speech/Debate team for all four years and partook in Interpretive Reading, Oratory, and Public Forum Debates. I was also co-captain of the team for two years. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions!

Hobbies
I also spend much of my free-time writing. Within the past year, I have helped mount a full production of my play at my university, printed an essay in an academic journal, and published a short story in a literary magazine. Being both a writer and an editor allows me to be thorough and critical, yet also kind, when tutoring. Apart from writing and reading, I also love dancing, binge-watching my favorite TV shows, attending live theatre, playing with my cats, and consuming caffeine.
