Experience
I have over 14 years of experience as a tutor, and am confident in my ability to help others learn. I have tutored others in a wide array of subjects, but my favorites are Math (from elementary levels through Calculus), French, and standardized test preparation. In addition to majoring in French and International Business, I also lived and studied in France, so am very confident as a French language tutor. For test preparation, I cover both the subject material as well as strategies for test taking, as I believe they are both important for success. Lastly, when tutoring in math I feel a strength I have is the ability to take complex concepts and break them down, showing both the "why" and the "how." I am currently working toward certification for teaching high school mathematics, and have experience with classroom teaching at the high school level. I absolutely love to teach, and am also passionate about learning. As a tutor, I hope to spread my enthusiasm and ignite a love of learning in others. When I'm not tutoring or studying myself, I love playing soccer and tennis, spending time with my family, and exploring Seattle. I also enjoy crafting, particularly bead work.
