Experience
I'm certified to teach English language arts, and I have 10 years of experience as a teacher. The majority my experiences have been in higher education and private schools. I can take dry topics like Shakespeare and make them fun and relevant. I began tutoring as a college student, and I helped publish textbooks, practice tests, and other educational publications. I also have teaching experience, working as a social studies and English teacher in New York City. I've had the opportunity to work with students with special needs, gifted students, ESL students, and students with IEPs. I also enjoy writing, and I'm currently working on a second novel. In addition, I edit books as well. As a tutor, my specialties are writing, history, and literature. When I tutor students, I like to make sessions fun and engaging, but I also expect my students to work hard.
